AmTech manufactures this screw machined, rocker arm shaft for a leading supplier of racing engine systems.
In an internal combustion engine, a rocker arm is an oscillating lever that conveys radial movement from the cam lobe into linear movement at the poppet valve to open it.
Shaft mount rocker systems increase the rigidity and stability of the entire valvetrain in the engine, effectively increasing horsepower. They are therefore widely used in racing and competition engines.
This rocker arm shaft has several critical tolerances that require a very tight dimension. In addition, the drilled holes have a very clean surface specification to ensure optimum performance when assembled into the rocker arm.
