Overview
Gravity Casting Capabilities
Gravity casting is a permanent mold casting process that uses gravity, rather than high pressure, to fill the mold cavity with molten metal. This technique is especially well-suited for non-ferrous, light alloy components, including aluminum and zinc-based parts.
As a gravity casting manufacturer, AmTech International offers a cost-effective solution that does not require large-scale machinery. The process allows for precise control, resulting in strong, high-quality parts with superior surface finishes and improved mechanical properties compared to sand casting.
Gravity casting is ideal for producing mid- to high-volume runs of small to medium-sized parts. It is particularly effective for components with wall thicknesses greater than those achieved by high-pressure die casting, yet thinner and more refined than typical sand cast parts.
